2 LEVELS OF COMPETITION
- “DOWNTOWN” LEAGUE – This level of competition is for students who dance a maximum of 4 to 6 hours or less per week. Students who are looking to experience or perform at competition but not as committed as a competitive dancer.
*Please note to be eligible for cash awards you must be registered with a studio that has a minimum of 5 entries.
- “UPTOWN” LEAGUE – This level of competition is for serious dancers who are at a competitive level.

AWARDS
Platinum 280+
High Gold 275 – 279.9
Gold 270 – 274.9
High Silver 265 – 269.9
Silver 260 – 264.9
JUDGING
- Each judge will be given a total of 100 Points.
- All Studios Directors will receive a DVD with video critiques of all routines entered.
- ALL JUDGES SCORES ARE FINAL!!!
* ANY STUDIO OWNER, TEACHER, PARENT OR STUDENT CAUGHT APPROACHING JUDGES REGARDING SCORES AND OR RESULTS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED!
TROPHIES & PINS
Every dancer who enters the Empire Dance Competition will receive a diecast Empire Pin. Pins will be included in studio packets at the time of registration. ALL STUDIOS will receive a Trophy and dancer(s) will receive a ribbon. Student Ribbons will be given to Studio owners after each awards ceremony located in score sheet packets.
OVERALL ENTIRE COMPETITION CASH AWARDS
A TOTAL OF $4,000 IN CASH PRIZES AWARDED AT EVERY REGIONAL CITY!

*DOWNTOWN LEAGUE: $500 CASH AWARD to be given for High Score for the Entire Competition. A minimum of 150 entries must take place in the recreation level. If less than 150 entries than $300 will be awarded. Another $1500 is awarded for additional cash prizes for this level.

*UPTOWN LEAGUE: $500 CASH AWARD to be given for High Score for the Entire Competition. A minimum of 250 entries must take place. If less than 250 entries for the entire competition than $300 will be awarded.
Another $1500 is awarded for additional cash prizes for this level.
